Batesville, AR. - Dorlea McWilliams, 81, died Saturday, December 31, 2011 in a Batesville, AR hospital. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the Wylie United Methodist Church with Reverend Billy Crim officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home of Merkel, TX. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Dorlea Frances was born November 24, 1930 in Sargent, Nebraska to Harry and Marion (Cole) Satterfield. She graduated from Huntley, Wyoming High School then from the Denver, Colorado Presbyterian Hospital Nursing School in 1951. She married Edwin Derwood "Mac" McWilliams April 3, 1953 in Denver, Colorado. In 1959, they moved to Jal, New Mexico where she raised her family and was a nurse. They moved from Leupp, Arizona to retire at Abilene, Texas in 1986. After Mac died October 18, 2007, Dorlea moved to Arkansas January 2009 to be near family. She was a former member of Wylie United Methodist Church and a current member of Desha Methodist Church. Dorlea loved to paint and enjoyed her family. Survivors include 2 sons, Jeffrey McWilliams of Houston, TX, Dean McWilliams and wife Gail of Desha, AR; 4 grandchildren, Justin McWilliams and wife Kristin, Derryn McWilliams and fiancée Dana, Brandon McWilliams and wife Rebecca, Clayton McWilliams and wife Hannah; 2 great grandsons, Matthew and Michael McWilliams; and brother, Carl Wells of Kearney, NE.
