Bio

Funeral services were held from Hubbard Funeral Chapel June 21, for Mrs. Emilie Schenk, 84, who died June 19. Burial was in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery. Rev. Charles Carolan officiated. Mrs. Schenk, a lifelong resident of Weimar, was born here Dec. 8, 1889, the daughter of Anton and Marie Kuchar. She was married to Charles Schenk on October 27, 1913. Her husband died February 12, 1971. She was a member of St. Michael's Church, Christian Mothers Society and the KJZT. Mrs. Schenk is survived by a son, John Schenk of Weimar; a daughter, Mrs. Albert (Tillie) Dusek of Houston; and a grandson, Eugene Dusek of San Antonio. The Weimar Mercury, Thursday, June 27, 1974
