Bio

Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 14, at Hubbard Funeral Home and St. Michael's Catholic Church for Charley Schenk, 81; who died Friday morning in Youens Memorial Hospital. He had been a patient there about two months. Rev. Gerald Hubertus officiated in the services. Burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery. Born July 26, 1889, at Dubina, Mr. Schenk was a son of Frank and Josephine Schenk. He married Millie Kuchar on October 27, 1913, and they settled on a farm just sough of Weimar. They moved to Weimar in 1948 when he became custodian at Weimar in 1948 when he became custodian at Weimar Public School. He retired in 1960. He was a member of St. Michael's Church and the KJT. His wife survives, along with a son, John Schenk of Weimar; a daughter, Mrs. Tillie Dusek of Houston; a grandson, Eugene A. Dusek of Albuquerque New Mexico; and a sister, Mrs. Rita Leppin of Houston.
