Bio

Kuchar, Mary DEATH OF MRS. MARY KUCHAR Mrs. Mary Kuchar, an old and highly respected citizen of this section, died at the family home a few miles south of Weimar Friday, and the remains were laid to rest in St. Michael's Cemetery Saturday afternoon, Rev. J. Szymanski performing the funeral obsequies. Mrs. Kuchar was 70 years of age. She was a native of Austria, but had lived in this country for about forty years. She had lived on the old home place near town for the past thirty years. She was the mother of ten children, nine of whom are living, as follows: Louis Kuchar, Mrs. Mary Petrash, Mrs. Fannie Petrash, Frank, Anton and Jim Kuchar, Mrs. Kubach, Mrs. John Cejka, and Mrs. Chas. Schenk; the child dead was Mrs. Krutilek of Ennis. She also leaves two sisters, one at Wallis and one at St. John, and one brother, living at East Bernard. Mrs. Kuchar possessed a cheerful, sunny disposition, was well liked by all who knew her, was a good friend and neighbor, and her death is sincerely regretted. Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to the bereaved family. Weimar Mercury, August 8, 1919, page 1 Those summoned here Saturday by the death of Mrs. Mary Kuchar included Louis Kuchar of Ennis, Louis Petrash and wife of Ennis, Anton Vecera, wife and daughter of East Bernard, Anton Uhyrek and wife of Wallis, Miss Veronica Petrash of Wallis, Ignatz Jurek, wife and baby of Orchard, Mrs. Anton Hruzek of Orchard, and Mrs. Peluka of St. John.
