Bio

Cordelia, nicknamed Cordely, was the eighth child born to Elijah Zachary and Matilda Iredell Justice Taylor. The year of her birth the family bought a farm in Leadmine, Dallas, Missouri. When Cordelia was just 21 months old her father died. Her mother did not remarry but raised her children on her own. Cordelia lived her entire life on the family farm. She died three weeks before her fourteenth birthday in a flu epidemic. She is buried in Kirk Cemetery with her parents and other family members.
