Bio

Loyd was the son of James Malcum "Mac" & Montie Lee (Russell) Turner. He married Evelyn Henderson in 1946. Their children were Susann & William "Bill." Evelyn died on March 17, 2006, followed by Loyd died on May 8, 2008. Loyd Lee Turner Sunday, May 11, 2008 The Oregonian A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008, in Oak Hills Presbyterian Church in Milwaukie for Loyd Lee Turner, who died May 8 at age 88. Loyd Lee Turner was born June 6, 1919, in Mountainair, N.M. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a salesman for General Brewing. He lived in Eugene for 30 years and moved to Milwaukie about 13 years ago. In 1946, he married Evelyn Henderson; she died in 2006. Survivors include his daughter, Susann Smith; son, Bill; brother, Giles; sisters, Marie Boyd and Mary Stewart; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Remembrances to the Clackamas County Senior Center. Arrangements by Sunnyside Little Chapel of the Chimes.
