Bio

Ed Sturdevant, (as most folks called him), was born the son of Samuel Nelson Sturdevant and Rebecca E. Pendergraft Sturdevant, in Bolivar, Polk County, Missouri. He migrated with his mother to Texas about 1890. He married Alberta Skaggs in Paris, Lamar, TX on Dec 17, 1893, in Paris, Lamar, Texas. They parented six children before her death. He married Ruby Ann Hall in Choctaw County, OK on April 29, 1911. They parented 7 children, before her death in childbirth. He married Nova Susie Mitchell in Choctaw, OK, on Sept. 17, 1929. They also parented six children. (Total of 19 children, plus two infant deaths).
