Greenville (Texas) Herald Banner, Fri, 17 May 2002, page A2, Obituaries, G.B. Alexander EMORY - G.B. Alexander, 74, of Emory died Wednesday at his home. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at Emory Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Lowe and Rev. Rodney Williams officiating. Burial is in Smyrna Cemetery. Born March 25, 1928, in McKinney, he was the son of Basil and Ethel Toles Alexander. On March 31, 1948, he mmarried Bennie Bailey in Emory. Mr. Alexander retired from Murray Gin in Dallas and he was a dairyman. He was a member of Emory Baptist Church. Survivors are hiss wife of Emory; a son, Ray Alexander of Alba; two daughters, Ann Jennings of Emory and Carolyn Emig of Emory; three sisters, Mae Vera, Pauline Pennington and Vernell Nelson; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Memorials may be made to Emory Baptist Church Building Fund. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
