Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Park Street Baptist Church under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church. ~ (Greenville, Texas) Herald Banner, Thu, 28 Aug 2010, A4, Obituaries, 'Pat' Pennington Pauline "Pat" Pennington, 87, of Greenville passed away August 26, 2010 at Briarcliff Health Center. Services will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday at Park Street Baptist Church under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Johnny Hailes will be officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time Sunday at the church. Mrs. Pennington was born May 22, 1923 in Emory to George Basil and Ethel Eldora Toles. On June 15, 1940, she married Claude G. Pennington in Lone Oak. She worked for the U. S. Census Bureau from 1961 through 1977 and retired from Hunt Collin Electric Coop in 1986. She was a member of Park Street Baptist Church where she begin teaching Sunday School at the age of 26 to youth or adults. She was a lifetime member of the Parent Teacher Association. Her survivors include her sons Dr. Jack L. Pennington and wife, Julia of St. Louis, Missouri and Randy G. Pennington and wife, Mary of Addison; sister Mae Vera of Mesquite; two grandchildren Bryan and Elliot; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; infant daughter; parents; three brothers G. B., Ruben, and Rev. Lee Alexander; and two sisters Rev. Vernell Nelson and Marie Alexander Perkins. Pallbearers will be Danny Ray, Leonard Tipton, Ray McKinney, David Williams, Henry Ellis, Jr., and Mike Rackley. Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Mitchell and Billy Craig. The family request memorials be made to Park Street Baptist Church Youth Ministry, 2205 Park Street, Greenville, TX 75401.
