Mary Baake (nee Maria Guidinger) was the daughter of Peter and Anna (nee Neiers) Guidinger. Mary Guidinger married Heinrich William Baake on June 17th, 1888 in Mequon. Heinrich and Mary had 7 children. The Baake's owned a farm which was 60 acres in size and located as the next parcel east of Peter Guidinger's 80 acre farm in Town of Mequon, WI. Postal is Thiensville, WI for the area, zipcode 53092. The Baake farm changed hands a few times after their deaths and is now part of a large subdivision in Mequon. The original farm house was torn down in the late 1950's. The house pictured here was a WWII kit house and was moved from Milwaukee County to this location in 1959 and was actually used to house chickens until it was renovated. The little house and barn stood until the early 1990's when they were razed to build the subdivision.
