Winfield Courier Winfield, Kansas Thursday, December 5, 1912 Obituary Simeon Barce was born Oct. 25, in Plymouth county, Mass., 1837, and died Nov. 25, 1912, in Udall, aged 75 years and one month. He had apparently been in good health and his death came as a shock to his relatives and friends. When about 21 years old he came to Illinois and there enlisted in the Union army and served about 3 years. In 1872 he came to Kansas and September 23, he was united in marriage to Mary E. Willis. To this union was born 3 children, two of which have passed away. He leaves a wife and one son besides a host of friends to mourn his loss. The funeral was held at the house Tuesday conducted by Rev.
