Bio

Mrs. E. R. Wood, 54, died suddenly with a heart attack, at her home near Tool's Chapel at 1:35 a.m., Thursday, November 27. She had been in failing health for three or four months. Surviving are her husband, five daughters, and one son, Mrs. Helen Northcutt of Newton, Mrs. Ruth Armstrong, Monroe, Mrs. Opal Carter, Fremont, Mrs. Carmen Phillippe, Oskaloosa, Mrs. Wilma Kaldenberg, Monroe, and Harley Wood of Newton; her father, Peter O'Connor of Galesburg, one brother, Marion O'Connor, Galesburg and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Morton and Mrs. Clyde Romans, both of Newton. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at 1:15 at the home and 2:00 at Tool's Chapel with Rev. Forrest Moore of Hartwick, Iowa, in charge, assisted by Rev. J. E. McClellan. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Monroe. Pella Chronicle, December 4, 1941
