Bio
Winnie Smith, 79, of Stony died Wednesday at Westgate Hospital. Born September 10, 1902, in Ellis County, She was member of Stony Methodist church and was church secretary fo 30 years. She was member of the Stony Home Demostration Club. Service will be at 10 am Friday at the Jack Schmitz & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Tip Hall, Jr. and Rev. David Tripp officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery at Krum. Survivors include one son, O. D. Smith of Ponder; two daughters, Mrs. Sam (Georgia) Graybar of Dayton, Ohio and Mrs. Bert (Glenda) Pope, III of Ponder; one brother, R. E. Coulter of Irving; three sisters, Erma Wingate of Stony, OdessaCopeland of McCamey and Eula James of Ponder; four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
