Bio

Services for O. D. " Bill" Coulter, 60, of Route 1, Krum, will be held at 2pm today in the Ponder Baptist Church. The Rev. Clyde Leonard will officiate. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery in Krum with the Schmitz-Floyde-Hamlett Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. A member of the North Texas State University maintenance department, Mr. Coulter died at his home Friday at 9:25 am. He was born at Newark (sic s/b Rhome), July 22, 1907, and was married to the former Martha Ann Riley in Denton, November 12, 1927. He attended Stony schools and was a member of the Ponder Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife of Krum; a daughter, Mrs. Diana Watson of Mesquite; a son, O. D. Coulter, Jr. of Ponder; sisters, Mrs. Winnie Smith of Ponder, Mrs. Ezma Wingate of Ponder, Mrs. Odessa Copeland of McCamey and Mrs. Eula James of Decatur; brothers, O. B. Carpenter of Gainesville, Elvis Carpenter of Gainesville, Richard Carpenter of Irving and Vernon Carpenter of Ft. Worth; two granddaughters and one grandson.
