Fremont Tribune (Fremont, Nebraska) 15 Feb 1950, Wed Page 2 Helen Vavak Rites Slated Thursday Prague - Funeral services for Helen Vavak, 70, will be held Thursdaay at 1:30 p.m. from the National hall here. Burial is to be in National cemetery. Miss Vavak died Sunday at the Wahoo community hospital after an illness of abut three months. She was born here Mar. 24, 1879, and had lived all of her life here. Survivors include two brothers, Joseph of Prague and Otto of Spokane, Wash; and two sisters, Mrs. Marie Hines of North Bend and Olga Anderson of Osceola. A sister, Mrs. Ellen Matousek, died in 1936. The Vavak and Svoboda Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Note: Date on headstone is different from published obituary that states 12 Feb 1950
