Eatherly, David W. 233228 Birth: 07/05/1936 Death: 07/28/2007 THE PARIS NEWS, July 29, 2007: 'Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Fortenberry officiating. The family receives friends from 7-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. He was born July 5, 1936, the son of Jim and Edna Shannon Eatherly in Lamar County. He served in the U.S. Army, was a policeman in Paris and worked for Data Systems in Dallas. He was a member of Shady Grove Methodist Church. He loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors, and enjoyed tending to his birds and his dogs. His parents; one brother, Fred Eatherly; one sister, Ruth Lovelock; and three infant sons preceded him in death. Survivors include a son, John David Eatherly, and wife, Beth Ann, of Irving; one stepson, Jeff Caldwell, and wife, Carolyn, of Anna; four sisters, Lynda Stephens and husband, Jerry, of Paris, Mary Bounds of Paris, Judy Yandell and husband, Willie, of Honey Grove and Nelda Price and husband, Ronnie, of Mount Vernon; two brothers; Richard Eatherly and wife, Virginia, of Clardy and Jim Eatherly and wife, Eleanor, of The Villages, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Sara Eatherly, of Paris; and numerous nieces and nephews.
