Mary Rejnk "Marie" (Pennek) Koutnik - Satorie was born to her loving parents Frank and Barbara (Nedved) Pennek on Tuesday November 4, 1873 in Bohemia. Marie's information dates back one hundred forty eight years, so her information is very limited. Every effort was made to transcribe and edit the information correctly without changing any facts of her life. I found most of her information was on her first husband James' memorial James Koutnik . It lists her name as Mary, I also found her name listed as Marie, I believe she may have used Marie as a nickname. On familysearch.org (GH2C-FNK) it lists a Marie Rejnk who has the same birth and death dates. Marie was united in marriage to her first husband James Koutnik in the year of 1892, he passed in 1900 leaving Marie with a seven-year old daughter Anna, and a son James who was born after his death. Marie was united in marriage to her second husband Joseph Satorie on Monday March 31, 1902 at Linwood, Butler County Nebraska, Joseph had three children of his own, these children may have been over half grown at the time of their marriage. I believe Joseph and Marie may have had one child during their four years of marriage. In 1906 Marie and Joseph moved their family of six to a farm four miles northwest of North Bend, Dodge County. Sadly Marie passed that same year on Friday August 24, 1906 at the age of 32 years, 9 months, 20 days which does not include her last day, she lived a total of 11,980 days. My research found no information on Marie's funeral service. Marie was interred in the Killian (Czech National) Cemetery at Saunders County Nebraska. Marie's information was provided from researching many resources and my memory. This biography was created as an honor to Marie by a family friend Loren R.
