Son of James Jefferson & Luda (Jackson) Folmar. Husband of Viola Lennon. His obituary was published in the Paris News, dated 4 Jun 1979, as follows: James A. (Buster) Folmar of Woodland died Monday morning at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was 84. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Yantis Baptist Church with the Rev. Dole Henserling and the Rev. Stanley Gregg officiating. Interment will be at Yantis Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Clarksville Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Folmar was born in 1895 in Hopkins County. Survivors include his wife and one son, Kenny Folmar, both of Woodland; seven sisters, Mattie Craig of Hurst, Cora Cole of Pryor, Okla., Sallie Taylor of Ft. Worth, Maggie Bullock of Quitman, Lura Sharp of Yantis, Dollie Howle of Alba and Hazel Terry of Emory; two brothers, Raymon Folmar of Paris and Schley Folmar of Yantis.
