Bio
Raymon J. "Lollie" Folmar, 83, 134 25th NW, died on Friday, May 8, 1992, in St. Joseph's Hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 10, in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Brown and Mike Folmar officiating. Burial will be in Yantis Cemetery. Mr. Folmar was born on February 23, 1909, in Hopkins County, a son of James Jeff and Luda Jackson Folmar. He attended Yantis schools and married Faye Penny June 20, 1931, in Hugo, Oklahoma. He worked for 60 years as a road grader operator for Holland Paige Construction Company of Austin and Howard Brothers Construction in Paris. He retired in 1988. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Surviving are three sons, Ronard Folmar, Farlan Folmar, and Mike Folmar; one daughter, Gay Folmar; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Schley Folmar; four sisters, Hazel Terry, Dollie Howell, Laura Sharp, and Maggie Bullard. He was preceded in death by a son, Wallace Ray Folmar; a granddaughter, Vickie Lynn Folma; a brother; and three sisters. [Published in The Paris News, May of 1992.]
