Immigration from Bohemia with family in 1873 Fremont Tri-Weekly Tribune (Fremont, Nebraska) 21 Jan 1899, Sat Page 8 Frank Kavan of Morse Bluff died Wednesday, after about a week of sickness. His sickness started with the grip and turned into pneumonia, which caused his death. Mr. Kavan was a member of the lumber firm of Cherney & Kavan of this city and Morse Bluff. The funeral services were held at Morse Bluff Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Fillmore County News (Exeter, Nebraska) 21 Jan 1899, Sat Page 8 Frank C. Kavan of Morse Bluff, Neb., died January 15, 1899, of typhoid pneumonia. Mr. Kavan was a former resident of Exeter, having been engaged in the grain buying business. Mr. Kavan was taken sick on January 11th and on the 12th was confined to his bed. On the 18th a telegram was received stating that he was not expected to live and in a short time word came of his death.
