Kubesch married Hattie Wanjura on May 11,1948. ________________________________ Funeral For Ray Kubesch Here Mar. 18 Funeral services for Raymond F. Kubesch,85,of Weimar were held Wednesday,March 18,from St. Michael's Catholic Church,with burial in the parish cemetery.Father Charles Carolan officiated. Kubesch,a retired carpenter and concrete finisher,died at 11:15 a.m. Monday,March 16,in Sweetbriar Nursing Home at Brenham. Born here April 20,1901,he was a son of Joseph and Mary (Dobecka) Kubesch.He married Hattie Wanjura on May 11,1948,at St. Michael's Church.He served in the US Army Corps of Engineers in World War II and was a member of VFW Post 5875 here. His wife survives him,along with one sister,Martha Wehmeyer and several nieces and nephews.Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Serving as pallbearers were Al Anders,Joe Hartensteiner,Frank Schwelik,Joe Wick,Melvin Albright,William Lichnovsky,Leo Guenther and Alfred Helmcamp. Weimar Mercury,March 26,1987
