Fenton Amos (55533307) Suggested edit: Final Rites Held For Fenton Amos Forest Amos, 60, died Thursday at Beatrice following a short illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the First Methodist Church at Sargent. The Rev. Victor Ireland conducted the service. Music was furnished by Mrs. Harold Pointer, organist. She acoompanied Mrs. Wm. McNeil who sang. The Pallbearers were Alvin Amos. Gerald Amos, Lyle Gibson, Marvin Amos, Fred Rush and Ernest Poland. Interment was in Mount Hope Cemetery. Rhoad Funeral Home was In charge of arrangements. Mr Amos was bom Sept. 1, 1901 at a farm home in Dry Valley Community, a son of William Riley and Eva Campbell Amos. He spent most of his life in Sargent, and the last few years he lived in a Beatrice care home. He was a devoted Christian all his life and took an interest in church activities. Survivors include two brothers, Claris C. Amos of Shubert and Lome L. Amos of Comstock; two sisters. Mrs. Dale (Bessie) Mapel of Stanwood, Wash., and Mrs. Harry (Marie) Looney of Santa Barbara, Calif, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother.
