Oscar Lewis Harris was born in Dallas TX on November 15, 1926 to Woodrow Wilson Harris and Zula Mae Adams and passed away in Mabank TX on June 29, 2010. Oscar was preceded in death by his wife Frances Louise Cates Harris; Son Ronald Dean Harris; Daughter Margaret Elaine Harris Brown and Great grandson William Travis Barker. He is survived by his sister Betty Jean Harris Gore of Murchison, TX; Son Stephen D. Harris and wife Sharon of Midlothian, TX; Daughters Linda L. Cox of Seagoville, TX and Georgia D. Jackson and husband Albert of Mabank, TX; Daughters-in-law Linda Sue Harris and Kay Starks; 16 grandchildren, Ronald, Michael, Jayna, James, Melvin, Justin, Pam, Sarah, Janet, Stacy, Jaime, Margie, Delana, Kim, Shannon and Diana. 38 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm and family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, July 1st at DFW National Cemetery.
