Son of Anton and Elsie (Hamling) Oberhauser. He attended Holy Family Schools. He served in the U.S. Army from Sept. 24, 1950-Aug. 19, 1951, with HQ Battery 1st Field Artillery. He earned the rank of corporal. He married Lorene Selting Aug. 20, 1957, in Elgin, at St. Boniface Catholic Church. He farmed and fed livestock. He was a member of the Lindsay American Legion Rotherham Post 261, the Holy Family Knights of Columbus Council and the Holy Family Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Lorene, of Lindsay; brother, Tony (Joan) Oberhauser, of Bellevue; sisters, Dorothy Schaefer and Betty Steiner, both of Columbus; sisters-in-law, Connie "Oberhauser" (Dale) Daigh, of Bellevue, Joyce Temme, of Petersburg; brother-in-law, Melvin (Pat) Selting, of O'Neill; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Elsie; brothers, Andrew and wife, Regina Oberhauser, Bill Oberhauser, Eugene Oberhauser; brothers-in-law, Louis and wife, Irma Hagemann, Earl and wife, Dolores Schulze, and Joe Temme, Sr.
