Bio

Charles Edward McCashland, son of John R. and Amanda McCashland, was born January 3, 1881, on the farm which his father homesteaded and where he spent his entire life. He passed away August 11, 1950, at the age of 69 years, seven months and eight days. On April 26, 1905, he was united in marriage to Jennie D. DeBoer. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Ninette Moul, who with her mother survive; also three grandchildren, Donald, Dale and Betty Lou, all of Fairmont; sisters, Mrs. Addie Perkins of Manchester, Iowa, and Mrs. Eva Walworth of Fairbury. He was a kind and loving husband and father, who will be sadly missed in his home. Services were held in the Kritner Funeral Home on Monday, August 14, at 2:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. Norman Smitheram, pastor of the Grace Methodist church. Two songs were sung by Oliver Moul, accompanied by Mrs. A.P. Stewart. Interment in the Fairmont cemetery.
