Hueland Griffin GREENVILLE — Services for Hueland S. Griffin, 86, of Greenville will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, in Hurst's Fielder-Baker Chapel, with Rev. Clint Bratcher officiating. Burial will be in Cross Roads Cemetery in Desert, Texas. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m., today, at the funeral home. Mr. Griffin died June 30, 2010, in Greenville. He was born Aug. 20, 1923, in Westminster, Texas, to Clarence H. and Mary Viola Mullins Griffin . He was a dairy farmer and a Baptist. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a guard at the Nuremberg Trials at Nuremberg, Germany. Survivors include his daughter, Linda England of Lavon; a sister, Jesse Rae Vandegriff of Marshall; two brothers, C.H. Griffin of Farmersville and Bobby Griffin of Blue Ridge; a special friend, Stella Richardson; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. (Published by The Herald Democrat on Jul. 1, 2010)
