Glenn entered the gates of Heaven into the arms of Jesus at an early age of twelve the victim of cancer. He is survived by his parents, Floyd and Bernice Sherbeck Armstrong and one brother and two sisters. GLENN ARMSTRONG SERVICES FEB. 6 Funeral services were held in the Calvary Baptist Church Arcadia, Friday, Feb. 6 for Glenn Eldon Armstrong, who suffered for many months as a cancer victim. Pastor Eugene Layne officiated and sang the closing song, "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." Mr. Kermit Erickson sang "The Heavenly Vision." Mrs. Clinton Masters was the pianist. Pallbearers were Max Masters, Alan Schmidt, Don Trefren, Robert John, Richard John and Wayne John. Interment was in the Arcadia Cemetery. Glenn Eldon Armstrong, son of Floyd and Bernice Armstrong, was born Aug. 10, 1945 in Hillsboro, Oregon and went to be with Christ from his home near Arcadia on Feb. 4, 1958 at the age of 12 years, five months and 25 days. He lived the first five years in Hillsboro and then with his parents moved to the farm near Arcadia where he spent the remainder of his earthly life. He is survived by his parents; one brother, Melvin; two sisters, Janice and Linda; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Armstrong of Arcadia, Hershel Sherbeck of Westerville and Mrs. Etta Sherbeck of Sidney; and many other relatives and friends. Glenn received Christ as his personal Saviour and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Arcadia. He was a very faithful Christian, enjoying the study of the Word of God and the fellowship of God's people. His radiant smile was an inspiration to all who knew him and he will be greatly missed by loved ones and many friends. His family, trusting in the promises of Christ, wait for the sound of the resurrection trumpet and the voice of the Archangel that shall join them together again forever.
