Bio
Daughter of Dietrich & Margaret (Darbeck) Wilhelmi. First Husband, a man by the name of Gerbig, died in Germany. At the age of 38 on 11 July 1884 married Henry Lilienthal, son of Claus & Christina (Jensen) Lilienthal as recorded in Merrick County Marriage Book B, page 14, Certificate # 460. Wilhelmi was written as Wilhelmy in the book. Grand Island Daily Independent Tuesday 12 February 1918 Mrs. Henry Lilienthal, residing on South Locust street, passed away at 9 o'clock last evening following an illness of some duration, at the age of 72 years. She has resided in this city for many years and was very well and favorably known. She leaves one son, Fred Gerbig, a number of grandchildren, several brothers and sisters to mourn her loss. The funeral will take place on Thursday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, from the residence on south Locust.
