Fremont Tribune December 11, 2000 HOOPER -- The funeral for Rosa I. Lammers, 91, of Hooper was 10:30 this morning at Faith United Methodist Church in Hooper. She died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, at Mission, Texas. Rosa May was born Feb. 22, 1909, in Newman Grove. She lived in Hooper since age 7 and graduated from Hooper High School. She married Eugene "Dean" Lammers Jan. 2, 1930, in Hooper. Her husband's work took them to various locations throughout the United States. They operated Dean's Cafe in Hooper from 1950-56. Her spouse died Sept. 14, 1988. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Hooper Woman's Club and Winslow-Hooper Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10535 Auxiliary, all in Hooper. Survivors include: a son, Robert (and wife, Patricia) Lammers of Lewellen; two daughters, Elaine (Mrs. Alan) Croson of Fremont and Audrey (Mrs. Bill) Collins of Tulsa, Okla.; a sister; Susie Holstein of Mission, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Lammers of Las Vegas; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sisters, five brothers and a grandchild. The Rev. Greg Hall officiated today's service. Burial was in Hooper Cemetery in Hooper. A memorial has been established to Faith United Methodist Church. Moser Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
