PFC Baber was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Baber, residents of Bokchito in 1946. Graduated from high school at Bennington, Oklahoma and joined the Army on July 29, 1940. Killed in action in France. U.S., World War II Hospital Admission Card Files, 1942-1954, lists his cause of death as Artillery Shell Fragments to the leg and forearm.
