Sophia Ripper daughter of Josef F. and Anna Ripper. _________________________ BORDEN NEWS By Mrs.Walter Lucko Miss Sophia Ripper,who was away from this area since the death of her parents,the late Mr. and Mrs.Joe Ripper,died last week at the age of 57 and was buried last Saturday [St. Michael's Cemetery] Weimar Mercury,May 17,1957,page 3 Miss Sophie Ripper Buried Here May 11 Funeral services for Miss Sophie Ripper,who died May 9 after a brief illness,were held May 11 at Hubbard Funeral Home and St. Michael's Catholic church,with burial in the church cemetery beside her late parents.Msgr.A.F. Drozd officiated,assisted by Rev.Thomas Flanagan. Born here July 17,1900,she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Ripper.She is survived by two sisters,Mrs.Rudolf Muehr of Weimar and Mrs.Chas. Beyer of Midfield;one brother,William Ripper of Weimar;and a number of nieces and nephews.A brother and two sisters preceded her in death. Pallbearers for the services were Henry Knebel of Midfield,Arthur Brune Jr. of Columbus,Ernest Besch of Alleyton and Fred Berger,Richard Muehr and Lawrence Muehr of Weimar.
