Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 4, 1959 for Alois Kasparek, age 75, of Yoakum, Route 2, the Rev. Father Edward J. Jansky officiating at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Yoakum, and at the Shiner Catholic Cemetery. A lifetime farm resident of Yoakum area, Mr. Kasparek was born at Old Sweet Home in Lavaca County July 5, 1883. He was a member of the KJT. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Frances Kasparek of Yoakum; five sons: Rudy and Stanley Kasparek of Yoakum; Louis and Clement Kasparek of Corpus Christi; and Domin Kasparek of Gainesville; eight daughters: Mrs. Janie Brosch of Shiner, Mrs. Ella Vrazel and Mrs. Marion Peterek of Corpus Christi, Mrs. Olga Kusak of New Braunfels, Mrs. Louise Raindl of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Edith Caka of Comfort, Mrs. Frances Kurtz of Yoakum and Mrs. Judith Vanderslice of Houston; 22 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brother: Frank and Anton Kasparek of Yoakum; four sisters: Mrs. Louise Adamek of Czechoslovakia, Mrs. Antonia Benys of El Campo, Mrs. Mary Ermis and Mrs. Jane Baros of Yoakum.
