Thanks John for sharing. Ottumwa Courier October 4, 1946 Mrs. Minnie Ramsey, 70, of 505 Ellis Ave., died at the St. Joseph Hospital at 1:30 PM Friday. Mrs. Ramsey was the daughter of Absolem Eliza Ware Wells, born November 28, 1873 at Reading, Iowa. She had lived in Ottumwa for approximately 42 years and was a member of the Church of God here. She married William D. Ramsey September 5, 1893 at Kellerton; Iowa he preceded her in death August 15 of this year. Surviving are three sons, Verle O. of Peoria, Ralph E., of Silver Springs, Maryland and Avery C. of Ottumwa. A daughter Mrs. John Gilroy, Ottumwa and 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. She has three sisters, Mrs. Stella Maulding, Vancouver; Mrs. Earl Derrickson, Seattle, and Mrs. Mel Thompson, Redding, surviving, and three brothers, John Wells, Springfield, Missouri; George Wells, Plaines, Montana, and Arthur Wells, Reading. A daughter, Jenny Mae, and her parents also preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 PM from the Johnson funeral Chapel the Rev. J. C. Guest of the Church of God will be in charge, assisted by Roscoe Morrison of the Harding Park Open Bible Church. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
