Bio

John Wells was born Nov 13, 1877 (or 1876) in Redding Iowa to Absalom and Eliza Wells. He married Sarah Mable Fry on September 20, 1899. Note, some sources have September 09, 1900. They had three daughters together. John was a large land owner in Iowa, but also worked for the railroad as a Section-hand. John and Mable briefly homesteaded near Jamestown, North Dakota and later settled in Springfield, Missouri where he owned a grocery Produce and second hand Furniture Store. He died on May 12, 1947 and is buried at Maple Park Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
