Andrew Schroeder, 74, of Tours died Wednesday night at a Waco hospital. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, the Rev. Frank Miller as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Martin’s Cemetery. Rosary was recited Thursday, December 22 at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mr. Schroeder was born July 21, 1909, in Tours and was a lifelong resident of the Tours area. He was a retired farmer and rancher and a member of St. Martin’s Catholic Church. Survivors include three sisters, Rosie Bettge of Waco, Mrs. Willie Bettge of Leroy and Joanna Tichavsky of West. Pallbearers were Billy M. Schroeder, Jr., Francis Bettge, Mike Matustik, Ambrose Uptmor, Billy Schroeder and Freddy H. Uptmor.
