The West News, West, Texas, Volume 47, No. 36, Ed. 1 – Friday, January 29, 1937 [Obituary courtesy of Find a Grave member Betty Fajkus Marek #48445083] ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Seven long, lonely months have passed since you left us dear husband and daddy, Lonely are our hearts today, Since yo left us that sad day; When an angel whispered, "Come," dearest daddy, And forever with me stay, We loved you, yes we loved you, But the angels loved you more, So they called our dearest daddy, To a bright and golden shore. We miss you dearest daddy, Tho we still can see your smiling face. The flowers we placed upon your grave, may wither and decay, But the love we have for you daddy, Will never fade away, People may see us smiling, They can't realize the sorrow in our hearts. When the angels called you, daddy, The day we had to part. You're sleeping, sweetly sleeping, In the lonely grave today. We're weeping, sadly weeping, Ever since you passed away. God in his wisdom has recalled, The boom and love has given. Though the body slumbers here, The soul is safe in heaven. May his soul rest in peace.
