The Guttenberg Press, IA, Thursday, June 1, 1944, pg. 1, col 5 CASSUTT SERVICES TUESDAY Native of Guttenberg Died Last Saturday at Her Home BORN IN 1862 Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the home for Mrs. Lizzie Cassutt, who died Saturday at her home here after a long period of failing health. The services were conducted by Rev. Wm. Domres, pastor of St. John Lutheran church. Burial Here Burial was in the City cemetery, in charge of the Beerman funeral service with the following as pallbearers: L. A. Tujetsch, A. H. Borman, Walter Jacobs, John Rademacker, Oscar Niemeyer and John Kuempel. Mrs. Cassutt, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kossuth, was born in Guttenberg on December 24, 1862. She was married to Thomas Cassutt on April 13, 1882. Mr. Cassutt died on June 6, 1917. Mrs. Cassutt had spent her entire lifetime in Guttenberg. Six Children Survive She is survived by three sons and three daughters, Thomas of Duluth, Minnesota; Rudy of Buhl, Idaho; Clarence of Guttenberg; Mrs. Emily Kramer of Buhl, Idaho; Mrs. Mayme Andregg of Guttenberg and Mrs. Elizabeth Flaherty of Garber. She also is survived by 22 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, while one son, John, preceded her in death.
