The Guttenberg Press, IA, Thursday, December 8, 1960, pg. 4, col. 1 FORMER LOCAL RESIDENT DIES Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon at the Tuecke funeral chapel for Rudolph G. Cassutt, 64, who died November 25, at Buhl, Idaho, following a heart attack. The services were conducted by Rev. David Saunders, pastor of the Guttenberg Methodist church, and burial was in the Guttenberg City cemetery. Military rites at the graveside were conducted by the American Legion for the veteran of World War I, and pallbearers were John Adam, Leo Nigg, Clarence Saeugling, George Geuder, A. J. Lake and William Vogt. Born in Guttenberg on October 8, 1896, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cassutt, he had spent the past 27 years in Buhl where he was an accountant for the Buhl feed and ice company. He was unmarried. Before moving to Idaho to make his home, Mr. Cassutt had been a school teacher at Elkport. Surviving Mr. Cassutt are two brothers and three sisters, Thomas Cassutt of Worschester, Massachusetts; Clarence Cassutt of Guttenberg; Mrs. Emily Kramer of Buhl, Idaho; Mrs. Mayme Anderegg of Wilmington, Ohio, and Mrs. Elizabeth Flahety of Garber. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Cassutt.
