Bio

Joe Lee Korenek son of Frank V. and Annie S. Korenek. Joe Lee lived all his life on a farm around the Weimar area.He was a member of St.Michael's Catholic Church.This year on August 5,1954 Joe Lee joined the National Guard. Joe Lee and his brother Ike had started to a deer lease in a car to get the camp house and other hunting facilities in order for the first day of the season,when he slumped over.Ike immediately turned the car around and rushed his brother back to Weimar where he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Weimar hospital.Death was caused by a heart attack according to the doctors. Burial services were held for Joe Lee Korenek,17 years 3 months 4 days,Tuesday morning from the Hubbard Funeral Home and St.Michael's Catholic Church in Weimar. Lt.Arthur Untermeyer represented the National Guard at the funeral.
