Tourist Camp Man Succumbs in City Levi G. Hutson, owner of the Sunset Tourist camp in Armijo, died early Monday morning. Mr. Hutson who was 61 years fol, came her a year ago from Amarillo. The body was taken Monday night to Amarillo for burial under the direction of the Strong-Thorne Mortuary. Surviving are his wife and two daughters, Mrs. N.W. Burks and Mrs. Opal Ebbinger, all of Albuquerque; and two other daughters, Mrs. G.L. Bailey and Mrs. M.L. Davis who live in Texas. Hutson 61 years old, died yesterday morning at 6:30 o'clock in an Albuquerque hospital following an illness of several months. Mr. Hutson moved to Albuquerque to operate a tourist court. The body was brought to Amarillo last night and will be in state at the Blackburn-Shaw chapel until completion of funeral arrangements. Rites probably will be held Wednesday at Panhandle. Survivors are the wife; four daughters, Mrs. Opal Ebinger of Amarillo, Mrs. M.L. Davis of Happy, Mrs. Grady Bailey of Panhandle, and Mrs. M.W. Hutson Rites Scheduled Today Funeral rites in tribute to the memory of L.G. Hutson will be conducted in the Panhandle Baptist Church this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. J.H. Thompson, the pastor. Mr. Hutson, 61 years old, died Monday in a hospital at Albuquerque following an extended illness. He had moved from Amarillo to Albuquerque to operate a tourist camp. Among the survivors are the wife, four daughters, Mrs. Opal Ebinger, Amarillo; Mrs. M.L. Davis, Happy; Mrs. Grady Bailey, Panhandle, and Mrs. M.W. Burks, of Roy, N.M.; and a sister, Mrs. M.A. Brooks, of Amarillo. Burial will be in the Panhandle cemetery under the direction of Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Home. Hutson of Albuquerque, N.M., were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 in the First Baptist Church here. Mr. Hutson died early Monday morning in a hospital in Albuquerque N.M. Levi Granvile [sic] Hutson was born on May 7, 1879 in Grayson County, Texas. He was married to Miss Lora Jane Blackburn on Feb. 2, 1899 and they lived near Van Alstyne until they moved to Happy in 1917. Until Mr. and Mrs. Hutson moved to Panhandle in 1932, he had engaged in farming. A year ago they moved to Albuquerque, N.M. on account of his health. He operated a tourist court and service station there. Mr. Hutson had been a member of the Baptist Church for 30 years and he was also a member of the Woodmen of the World organization. Rev. George Thompson, pastor of the First Baptist Church here, conducted the services. Burial was in the Panhandle cemetery with Blackburn-Shaw in charge. Pallbearers were Ralph Randel, H.N. Munro, M.B. Welsh, O.C. Weakley, Ernest McCafferty and Ernest Roslius. Survivors are his wife, four daughters, Mrs. G.L. Bailey of Panhandle, Mrs. M.L. Davis of Happy, Mrs. Opal Ebinger of Amarillo, and Mrs. M.W. Burks of Roy, N.M. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. M.A. Brooks of Amarillo, nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren and 21 neices [sic] and nephews.
