Bio

Daughter of and Mary (Theewen) Aerts. She was the oldest of 10 children on a farm near Center Parish. Cecilia married Albin Svoboda on February 10, 1931 at St. Francis (Center Parish) Church-David City. After many years on various Butler County farms, she and her husband, Albin, moved to Columbus. Following her husbands death, Cecilia worked in St. Mary's Hospital as a nurse's helper. She entered the Golden Living Center in 2005. Cecilia was a member of St. Isidore's Parish where she belonged to the Christian Mothers and the St. Isidore's quilting and embroidery groups. Her hobbies were embroidery, cooking, and crocheting.
