Joseph "Paul" Garrison, 85, of Vilonia died Friday (Jan. 26, 2001) at Conway Regional Medical Center. Born March 12, 1915, in Banks (Bradley County), a son of the late Alfred and Birta Reaves Garrison, he was a truck driver for City Service (Citgo), a member of Vilonia First Baptist Church and a former Sunday school teacher. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruie Garrison; four sons, John Garrison of Pine Bluff and Joe Garrison, Randall Garrison and Ralph Garrison, all of Vilonia; one daughter, Judy Glover of Jacksonville; three sisters, Ocie Garrison, Johnnie Whitehead and Florence Hobson, all of North Little Rock; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Vilonia with Rev. John Hamby and Rev. Brian Garrison officiating. Burial will be in Keo Cemetery (Lonoke County) by Griffin-Leggett Funeral Home. Visitation will be 2 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
