Bio

Mrs. Clara Belle Frans, wife of Augustus Spiers (A. S.) Frans, died at her home in Kingfisher, Kingfisher County, Oklahoma this morning (January 16, 1914) at 11:35, age 56 years, 11 months, 24 days. On February 28, 1913, the deceased was taken with a slight stroke of paralysis, and last October 1913 underwent an operation at the hospital in El Reno, Oklahoma. On November 27, 1913, she was taken down with a second stroke of paralysis, from which she never recovered. Clara Belle Jones was born in Leavenworth, Leavenworth County, Kansas on January 22, 1857; and married A. S. Frans on her 17th birthday (January 22, 1874). Mrs. Frans came to Oklahoma with her husband in 1898, where he preempted a claim in C. and A. country, and moved to Kingfisher four years ago (1910). Mr. and Mrs. Frans united with the Baptist church 38 years ago. Besides a husband she leaves six children living, and two dead. The surviving children are: Robert Theodore of Union, Cass County, Nebraska; William Ambrose of Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska; Addie Florence (Frans) Jones, Claude Clay, Charles Ernest, and Callie Marie of Kingfisher. Sarah Isabelle Jones and Emma Florence (Jones) Roan, mother and sister of Mrs. Frans, arrived Thursday night (January 15, 1914) and were present when she passed away. Funeral services will be held at the Baptist church Sunday (January 18, 1914) afternoon and will be conducted by Rev. Job Ingram.
