MARY GREENWALT DIES IN OMAHA Funeral services were Saturday in Ord for Mrs. Mary Greenwalt, a long-time resident of Valley County, who died January 10, 1974, in Omaha. Mrs. Greenwalt, 97, made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Magdalen) Wisniski and family in Omaha the past three years. She died at the Wisniski home. Mrs. Greenwalt was the widow of Zack Greenwalt. They were married November 1, 1899, and made their home in Valley County. After her husband's death in 1957, Mrs. Greenwalt continued to live in Ord. When her health failed and she was unable to live alone, she made her home with her children. Mrs. Greenwalt was born December 25, 1876, the daughter of John and Rosalia Carkoski. In addition to Mr. Greenwalt, she was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters. Survivors are two sons Edwin of Fountain Valley, CA and Louie of Elyria; three daughters, Mrs. Leo (Rose) Lonowski of Loup City, Mrs. Otto (Dorothy) Niemeyer of Kearney and Mrs. Frank (Magdalen) Wisniski of Omaha; 13 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. John (Sally) Perlinski and Mrs. Frank (Wanda)Perlinski, both of California. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Friday at Staskiewicz Chapel in Omaha. Mass of the Resurrection was offered Saturday at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Ord with recitation of the rosary before the Mass. Interment was in the Ord Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Larry Tylkowski, Danny Gappa, Jack Lonowski, Duane Lonowski, David Eiberger and Tom Lliteras, all great-grandchildren of the deceased.
