Bio

Additional information on Fannie's name came from death certificate and from FindaGrave volunteer. Gloria Jaynes: Mrs Potts was born near Locus Grove, Ga. March 11,1858. Her parents were James Garrett Smith and Nancy Hand. She was married to Alpheus William Potts, 01/01/1873. The young couple came to Texas in 1875 settling at Millican in Brazos County where they lived seven years before moving to Bosque County, Clifton,TX four years, and for the remainder of their lives lived in Valley Mills. To this union were born eleven children. At the time of her death she had eight daughters and one son still living, two sons were deceased. The family residence is three miles from Valley Mills. Funeral was at Searsville Church.she died May 04,1938.
