Rockford Register Star, Tuesday, September 16, 1997 ROSCOE - Lillian V. Hinkle, 72, of Roscoe, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 1997, in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford. Born April 14, 1925, in Barron, Wis., daughter of Louie E. and Nan P. (Nelson) Hinkle. She was a 1944 graduate of Hononegah High School and a graduate of Rockford Business College. Worked with her father at Beloit Grain Elevator and later worked at Dwyer Ready Mix, Anderson Marine, Clock Tower Inn Resort. Also managed her father;s business affairs. Member of the Old Stone Church, Rockton, where she was involved in every aspect of the church, including Sunday school superintendent, board of trustees, board of Christian education, craft club, and the Guild-Dorcas Society. Member of the Duo-Deckum Club. Survivors include two sisters, Ardis M. Cody of Roscoe and Blanche E. Michaelson of Rockford; two nieces, Christine L. Cody of Roscoe and Nancy E. (Gary) Giessler of Stillman Valley; grand niece, Susan Giessler, of Stillman Valley; aunt, Esther (Henry) Rasmussen of Rice Lake, Wis.; several cousins. Predeceased by parents, brother, Raymond Hinkle; sister, Joy Hinkle; and nephew, Thomas Cody. Services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, in Old Stone Church, with Rev. Rodney Johnson officiating. Burial in Rockton Cemetery. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, in Daley-Murphy-Wisch and Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, Wis. Memorial may be given in her name to the church or Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department. 9-15-2
