ABOUT UPTON CHILD IV Upton Olson LaRue, fourth and last child of Edd and Etta LaRue, was born February 2, 1918. He was a very intelligent and progressive person. In the years of the CCC programs, Upton was into that, during which time he was married to Georgia Ann Svoboda. They had two children: (1) Marvin Edward, born August 8, 1947 and (2) Helen Colleen, born January 12, 1950. Upton bought Hiawatha's interest in land given to them jointly by Papa; and he and Georgia built a nice house and reared their children to adulthood on the farm. Then they built a lovely home in Crockett where they lived through college years of the children, and their marriages, seeing their first grandchildren arrive. Upton retired from employment with A.S.C.S. His health failed as the years passed and on August 17, 1985, my youngest and last living brother passed away and was laid to rest along with the family members gone on before, in Center Hill Cemetery. This left only Modie and Me surviving of Mama's large family at that time. Georgia continued to reside in their Crockett home. We correspond and communicate by phone now and then, also with Marvin and Colleen when convenient. They have two children each; Marvin and Deborah have a girl and boy; Colleen and Hubert have two boys. I miss Upton very much. Last part of the family story written by LaHoma Oleta LaRue Lamance
