Bio

Second child of John Edward and Etta Ellis LaRue, was born February 28, 1911. She completed High school at Lone Pine in 1926 and a Business course at East Texas Business College at Crockett, TX in February, 1927. She was married to Charles A. Story on December 24, 1933. Of this marriage were born two daughters: Etta Charline, born October 19, 1934; and Barbara Mildred, born July 7, 1938. This marriage ended in divorce. Lahoma remarried to Hubert Deleen Lamance, who preceded her in death. Mrs. LaHoma LaRue LaMance, age 94 of Houston, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2006 at her residence in Houston. Mrs. LaMance was born February 28, 1911 in Lovelady and resided in Houston most of her lifetime. Mrs. LaMance was a legal secretary for a title company attorney and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughters Charline Johnson and husband James, of Houston and Barbara Muller, of Deer Park; grandchildren Maurice Alan Johnson and wife Vickie, of Sugar Land, Starlia Jeanne Moore and husband Doug, of Charlottesville, Va. and Monique DeLynn, of Houston; great-grandchildren Stuart Rogers Moore, Char-lottesville, Va., Natasha Fletcher and husband Zachary, of Houston and Mandy Renee Avila and husband Edgar, of Katy; great-great-granddaugh-ter Mia Bella Avila, of Katy. Preceded in death by her husband Hubert D. LaMance, February 10, 1981. Funeral Services for Mrs. LaHoma LaRue LaMance were held Monday, February 27, at 2:00 p.m. in the Calla-way-Allee Memorial Chapel with Mr. Carl Allen officiating.
