Helena "Lena" (Muller) Ahrens 1879-1951 Mason City Globe Gazette, Friday, September 21, 1951 RITES AT OSAGE FOR RETIRED FARM WOMAN Osage: Mrs. Herman J. Ahrens, 72, died Thursday evening at her home in Osage following an illness. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran church, the Rev. E. H. Yohr officiating. Burial in the Osage cemetery. Mrs. Ahrens was born September 3, 1879, as Lena Muller, to Gustav and Maria (Struben) Muller in Cedar township, Mitchell county. She was married on May 22, 1902, the couple living on a farm west of Osage until retiring to Osage in 1915. Survivors include her husband, son Lester of Osage, sisters, Mrs. Ed Schuttler and Miss Verna Muller, Osage, and 3 brothers, Herbert Muller, LaCrosse, Wis.; George Muller, Austin, Texas, and Waler Muller, Osage.
