Bio

Son of Newton E Gardner (1817-1898) and Annie Mahaffey (1819-1899). Born in Mississippi, married an American Indian woman named Maggie. Moved to Texas around 1895. Father of four with Maggie; Myrtle, Cleve, Ruby, and Willie. Maggie died in 1903. Marion married Elizabeth Rowell in 1904. They had Mildred, Harvey, Mavis, Lovell, Marcel, and Imo Lee. Marion moved to Lubbock with daughter Ruby after getting TB.
